Whenever a classic book gets a film adaptation there’s always that acute questioning of what will remain loyal to the book, and what will change. Although this isn’t the first time The Great Gatsby will hit the big screen, it’s already succumb to mass questioning by fans with the release of the second official trailer.
The new trailer gives us a deeper look at Daisy Buchanan (Carey Mulligan) as well as Tom Buchanan (Joel Edgerton) and Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire), flaunting the distinct style of director Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge, Romeo + Juliet). The trailer gives us a quick peek into a world filled with lavish parties, romance, and plenty of mystery and intrigue. But will it ring true to the book?
